This is British Pattern 1888 Mk1 Type2 bayonet for the Lee-Metford or Lee-Enfield rifle. It features an 11.75-inch sharpened blade and overall length of 16.5 inches. It was manufactured by Wilkinson in November, 1899. Overall this bayonet is in fair condition. It has been very roughly sharpened along both edges and there are scuffs marks on both sides of the blade. The wood grips have some chips and dings and the metal has a fair amount of patina.
