German M1898 n/A Bayonet By C.G. Haenel Suhl For Mauser Gewehr 98 - Vintage Bayonet *1907*
This is a German M1898 n/A bayonet by C.G. Haenel Suhl for the Mauser Gewehr 98 rifle. It features a 20.25" blade often called a "Quillback" or "Pipeback" due to the round spine that runs down it like the quill of a feather. It measures 25.5" in total length and is marked "C.G. HAENEL SUHL" on the ricasso and dated "07" on the spine indicating a 1907 manufacture date. Overall condition is poor but the edge appears to be original, the metal is pitted with lots of patina and the wood grips are very worn. The press stud is rusted into place and so it probably won't lock onto the bayonet lug. There is no scabbard included with this bayonet. Buy online today!
