This is an original Swiss Maschinenfabrik Bern M1889 Bayonet for Schmidt-Rubin M1889 or M1911 rifle. It features an 11.75-inch blade with a slightly sharpened edge and wood grips. The ricasso is marked "MASCHINEFABRIK BERN". The blade has some tarnishing, and the guard, hilt, and pommel have modest patina. The wood grips are in good condition with some pressure marks. Designated "Dolchbajonett Mod. 1889" (Dagger Bayonet Model 1889), this of the type that was the first bayonet made for the Schmidt-Rubin rifle. There is no scabbard included. Buy online today!
